Helping the refugee communities near our Beqaa Valley center.

Last year there was a big fire that burned down a large refugee camp near our center in the Beqaa Valley. At the time we were one of the first responders on the scene to help distribute aid and treat the immediate needs. In our organization we love to pair evangelism with humanitarian aid to show people that we love them because Jesus first loved us. As you can see in the following photo, our staff are wearing shirts with drawing statements such as “I am healed by Jesus”. While these may seem cheesy in the United States, they are huge conversation starters over here. To read more about our ministry in the Muslim world click here.WhatsApp Image 2017-07-04 at 15.20.50

As we continue to work in the community it has come to our attention by multiple individuals’ requests that the families need fire extinguishers. Due to the issue imagesof cooking over an open flame in tents, with a lot of flammable items, fire is a very real threat to these communities.

Because of this danger we decided that we would purchase and distribute 20 fire extinguishers to the camp. The total amount we need to raise for the project, including the extinguishers , tax, and the transportation is 375 dollars.

If you feel compelled to give to this need you can do so at the following link. We plan to purchase and distribute these in next week so this is an urgent need. You can also be praying for the safety of the refugees in these camps. We will post an update with pictures when we distribute these.
