On October 7, 2023, the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel along Lebanon’s southern borders. What began as a localized battle quickly spiraled into a nationwide crisis. By September 23, 2024, The conflict had escalated, leading to the outbreak of war on a nationwide scale spreading to key areas including Beqaa, Tyre, Sidon, and even Beirut, forcing millions to flee their homes in search of safety. As Hezbollah holds military positions scattered across the country, there’s no telling where the next strike might hit. The conflict has already claimed the lives of over 2,500 people and left 10,000 injured. More than 1.3 million people have been displaced, their lives turned upside down in the chaos.
Provide gospel-centered aid in Lebanon
With no clear safe zones, many are fleeing to North Lebanon, although even there, people live in fear. Every city could become a target depending on the presence of military sites or strategic weapons caches, leaving families uncertain about where to find refuge.

As we enter the third week of this devastating war, thousands of families are being forced to flee their homes in Beirut and its southern suburbs as bombs continue to rain down. Among them was a mother who had struggled for years to have children, now finding herself on the streets with her only daughter. When our Beirut ministry team visited her, she didn’t ask anything for herself; she pleaded for her child to be clothed, fed, and entertained. She burst into tears as she explained that they were living behind the unfinished brick walls of a building. “Why is this happening to me?” she cried. “Others have somewhere to go, but I have no one.”
By the time we met her, she hadn’t eaten for more than a day. She feared she might never return to her home in the southern suburbs, which may have been destroyed by the bombings. Her story is just one among tens of thousands who are now displaced, living in makeshift shelters or, like her, quite literally on the streets of Beirut.
The Storms Are Coming
As we approach mid-October, the weather in Lebanon is shifting. The rain has already begun, and it will only get colder as winter approaches. Thousands of people, like the mother we visited, have no shelter from the rain, let alone the bitter cold that November and December will bring. Without proper protection, how will they and their children survive? They have no bathrooms and no clean water to bathe or wash their clothes. They are left trying to maintain basic hygiene on the streets, rigging makeshift laundry lines, and trying to survive another day.
Imagine This Winter
Over 1.3 million people have been displaced across Lebanon, many without a place to sleep, food to eat, or access to even the simplest necessities like soap or diapers. Public schools, which have offered some a place of refuge, may not even open until November. But what happens when they do? Where will these displaced families go? Tents may be set up to house them, but what protection are tents, which are no match for the bitter cold of a Lebanese winter?
A Desperate Plea for Help
The urgency of the situation cannot be overstated. The displaced are not just lacking food and shelter—they are struggling with the deep emotional and psychological toll. Parents aren’t just fighting for their own survival—they’re fighting to protect their children, to give them some kind of normalcy in a world that has become increasingly uncertain.
Our partner churches and local centers have become beacons of hope, opening up their doors and providing gospel-centered humanitarian aid. People are arriving, desperate for anything that can help sustain their families. But the need is overwhelming. We want to be faithful vessels to the Lord, providing not just food and hygiene supplies but hope and love in this time of darkness.

How You Can Help
The need is beyond measure, and we cannot meet it alone. This is an urgent call for help—for financial support that will go directly to providing food, mattresses, clothes, hygiene kits, and other essential items to families like the mother and daughter we met.
Let’s not wait until it’s too late. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who have lost everything. Be a part of this mission. Be the hands and feet of Jesus in Lebanon, and help provide for those in dire need.
